About Me

Hey! My name is Emma and I'm a sixteen year old reader and aspiring writer from England. Aside from bookish things, I have a major minor obsession with Disney and I've always loved fairytales and legends, hence the name of this blog. My favourites are East of the Sun, West of the Moon and Scheherazade, though it's hard to pick just a few. I also love mythology, and I'm currently writing a high fantasy based on the Hades and Persephone myth.

Most of the books I read are YA, but in recent months I've ventured into adult. Fantasy will always be the genre of my heart. My favourite book series' are the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas and Harry Potter by JK Rowling (so original, I know), and my favourite authors are Sarah J Maas and Brandon Sanderson.

I've wanted to be an author for as long as I can remember, so I'll probably end up rambling about writing on here as well as reviewing and talking about books. I'm currently working on a YA fantasy called The Kingdom of Empty Souls, though if I'm honest I spend more time making my Pinterest board for it than actually writing.  

Aside from reading/writing, I love listening to musicals and movie scores, (badly) playing the piano, drawing and spending an unhealthy amount of time on Netflix (Buffy the Vampire Slayer is my favourite thing ever)
